An Edinburgh retailer is now hiring elves to join their seasonal team to spread festive vibes in the rundown for the year's greatest celebration.
Dobbies gardening centres in Edinburgh have posted a job advertisement on their website, calling on performers to take up roles of Santa's loyal helpers this festive season.
While the retailer couldn't share the salary for the joy-spreading role, as it is only available upon application, the Dobbies spokesperson said: "Dobbies pay their elves in line with other team member salaries.

"And those appointed can enjoy a range of benefits, including discounts in the garden centre and restaurant."
The role is ideal for someone with a confident, kind and jolly nature who has plenty of enthusiasm and will be able to engage with people of all ages. Most of all, the perfect candidate has to have an unquestionable love for Christmas.
The advertisement for the part-time job with flexible shifts throughout the week, including weekends, said: "As an Elf, you will be responsible for creating memorable visits by preparing and helping children to meet Santa within one of our magical grottos.
"In addition, Santa and the Elves meet and entertain family groups at our breakfast and tea events in our restaurants.
From the moment you step into the role, you will have fun spreading the magic of Christmas. From regaling stories from the North Pole and asking children about their Christmas lists, you'll have the confidence to spread happiness and fulfil the imagination of children of all ages."
The closing date for applications is December 2. You can find out more and apply here.
