An Edinburgh-headquartered consulting firm has claimed that it’s on course to double its headcount in the next 12 months, bringing its workforce to more than 100 across all UK bases.
Optima Partners stated that it has experienced 55% year-on-year growth since 2020 - with turnover in excess of £5.7m for the last financial year - meaning the management team has decided to begin recruiting across the business.
Having secured a £2.3m investment from BGF last August, along with appointing new non-executive directors Karen Thomas-Bland and Richard Pugh, the firm is now looking to strengthen all parts of its operations.
So far this year, the company has recruited several new senior leaders, including customer strategy and engagement director Murray Allan, director of telecoms, energy and media John Ramdenee, and banking and financial services director Ed Knight.
Under the leadership of chief data scientist Dr Chris Foley, Optima’s data practice also grew four-fold in 2022, bringing in Andrew Donald as head of engineering and Dr Zhana Kuncheva as head of health data sciences.
Chief executive Alan Crawley stated: "We are striving to fill a number of vacancies within the company to meet growing demand, bringing new SME's, consultants, technologists and data experts into the business to support our clients in navigating complex customer transformation agendas."
Optima Partners also opened its third office in Bristol, last year, with expansion plans into Europe underway.
