Police have shut down a busy street in Edinburgh city centre after a man was found injured.
Officers rushed to Market Street, at the rear of Waverley Station shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, September 27 to reports of an injured man.
Forensic officers have also been spotted in the area as they carry out enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance at Market Street in Edinburgh after a man was found injured. Enquiries are ongoing”
In a separate incident in the city centre on Tuesday afternoon, a bomb disposal units were responding to an incident on Chambers Street, opposite the National Museum. Enquiries centred around a 'suspicious package' which was found in the city's Crown Office building.
