Edinburgh city centre bar to permanently host Scottish 'vegan junk food' pop-up

A popular Scottish vegan 'junk food' pop-up are set to takeover an Edinburgh city centre bar's kitchen permanently, as they took to social media to confirm the exciting news.

Rabbit Food said they will soon be arriving at the Meadows Tap, on Causewayside, to deliver their vegan specialities such as burgers, dirty fries and desserts.

Rabbit Food have made a name for themselves while popping up at several Scottish restaurants, including those in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but announced that they have finally found a destination to call their home.

Posting on Facebook, they said: "We are incredibly excited to announce that Rabbit Food is taking over the kitchen at Meadows Tap full time!

"This retro themed bar is right by the meadows and across from considerit chocolate (goodbye waistline) and we feel it is the perfect spot for us to call home.

"We will be open from August 3rd and we'll be serving Wed-Fri 4-9pm Sat-Sun 12-9pm.

"We are working on a bigger menu and we can't wait to start this new chapter of the business! Thank you all for your support!"

With the Meadows Tap located slap bang in the city centre and serving up food, cocktails and a variety of craft beers, they are set to add a new dimension to their menu. They too confirmed the upcoming partnership, saying: "Please note that our kitchen is closed, we’ll be returning with a new exciting menu and collab soon with Rabbit Food… watch this space."

Rabbit Food serve up some of the best looking vegan favourites in the country, often taking to Instagram to post pictures of some of their favourite dishes, that most wouldn't even know were vegan just by looking at them.
