Christmas is just around the corner with December 25 just weeks away.
And whilst many people will be doing their shopping and getting the menu for the big day organised, others will be getting excited to once again step foot inside the Christmas markets.
Thousands of locals and tourists flock to the spectacle at this time of year to enjoy the festive fun, fair and food. But where are the markets and what's the best way of getting to them from nearby stations?

Where are the Edinburgh Christmas markets?
The Christmas markets are located within the heart of the city making it perfect for wandering around the capital whether you're a local or a tourists. If you are needing a little more direction, the markets can be found in East Princes Street Gardens
And you'll be able to see some stunning sites such as Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument, Balmoral Hotel and Calton Hill.
How to get to Edinburgh's Christmas market
If you are leaving from Edinburgh's Waverly train station, it takes just four minutes to walk to the market on East Princes Street Gardens.
If you want to head to East Princes Street Gardens from Haymarket Station, it will take you just over 20 minutes with the shortest being 22 minutes.
Parking near Edinburgh's Christmas market
If you aren't taking public transport, the best parking spots nearby are Holyrood Road and the Castle Terrace car park.
Edinburgh Holyrood Road
This car park has a total of four disabled bays and 287 spaces in total.
It is located near the following attractions and landmarks:
- East of Edinburgh city centre
- Holyrood park
- Arthur's Seat attraction
- The Scottish Parliament building
- Pleasance Theatre
- Pleasance Sports Complex & Gym

Castle Terrace
There is a total of 750 spaces and five disable bays.
According to NCP, the parking is located nearby the likes of Edinburgh Castle, Traverse Theatre, Camera Obscura and World of Illusions and the National Library of Scotland.
