The Christmas Market is returning to the capital this month - and we won't have long to wait.
Set to return on November 25 - which also marks Black Friday - people can
But after multiple concerns that the Edinburgh Christmas Markets would not go ahead, it has been confirmed that they will be with the highly-anticipated market set to return on November 25. People can expect the classic attractions in the city centre, including Santa Land, Forth 1 Big Wheel - to name a few.

But what else can we expect and will there be an ice rink? Here's everything you need to know.

Edinburgh Markets Christmas ice rink
The ice rink will be making a come back this year - so grab your skates!
The location is set to be built on George Street with pictures showing the capital preparing for the events that are about to take place from the Big Wheel, and other festive rides with pictures, as previously reported by Edinburgh Live, showing organisers setting up such as placing wooden boarding down ahead of its opening.
However whilst the market opens to the public on the 25th of this month, people will have to wait an extra day to skate with the George Street Ice Rink opening the next day on November 26 (Saturday).
How to get tickets
Written on the Edinburgh Winter Festival website, it reads: "Get your skates on and glide all the way up and down Edinburgh’s famous George St on the magnificent alpine ice rink, sponsored by Lidl GB, in partnership with Essential Edinburgh.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, no babes in arms. Children must be over 1.2m in height, we will have designated sessions for the wee ones.
- Each ice skating session starts on the hour, with 40 minutes on the ice
- Please arrive 20 minutes in advance of your time slot to get your skates on ahead of your session start time!
- For safety reasons, you are not allowed to take photographs whilst on the ice. However, spectators can take photos from the viewing platforms around the rink
- The minimum skate size boot on the rink is a children's size 8, and the maximum is an adult size 15
- Skate hire is included in the price of your ticket, but you're also welcome to bring your own skates subject to suitability checks. (Please note: speed skates are not allowed.)
- Skating aid penguins are available for younger children at an additional cost of £5. These can be pre-booked online or bought at the rink. Subject to availability.
- Wheelchair users are welcome on the rink in any session. For further information please contact access@assemblyfestival.com
- The 20% EH postcode discount is applicable to Ice Skating at George Street.
