Edinburgh car owners wake to deflated tyres after being targeted by activists

Edinburgh Tyre Extinguishers

A number of Edinburgh New Town residents woke to their car tyres having been deflated on Monday, after they were targeted by an activist group.

On Sunday night (April 10), Tyre Extinguishers claimed they had approached over 40 SUVs in the city centre, with volunteers leaving each vehicles tyres flat.

Campaigning to see large cars out of the city centre, the group claimed they "will be back" after finding a number of Range Rovers and Land Rover Defenders.
