An Edinburgh resident and busker has been announced to play his dream gig at Scotland’s top music festival.
Calum Bowie, the Edinburgh-based singer and busker rose to fame for posting TikTok videos of himself, hanging out of his window and is now due to play at TRNSMT on Glasgow Green, this year.
The singer is known for his songs ‘Call me Back’ and ‘Dancing in the Sun.’ He is due to take to the stage alongside big names Sam Fender, Niall Horan, Becky Hill and LF System who will also be performing at the festival.

Calum, 22, is from Banchory in Aberdeenshire, he dropped out of his civil engineering course after 2 years at the University of Edinburgh and now is studying music business at Edinburgh College.
Edinburgh Live caught up with Calum. He said: “To be honest I can’t even believe I’m even able to say the fact that I am playing TRNSMT. It just doesn’t feel real.”
“TRNSMT is something that I’ve always wanted to play, especially since I started music it just feels so out of reach and to be able to say I’m playing it, it’s such a huge buzz and it’s an honour.”
“Hand on heart it’s like a dream come true, it’s genuinely been my dream for such a long time, to finally play it this year is insane.”
This is not Calum’s only big booking this coming summer with him appearing at Kendal Calling located in the Lake District with big names like Kasabian, Blossoms, and Kaiser Chiefs.
Calum went onto say that he’s also looking forward “to seeing other bands” at the festival and with the likes of George Ezra, The 1975 and Aitch due to play festival goers will be spoilt for choice.
He continued: “I love playing live, it’s on in the summer, well I say in the sun but it’s Glasgow so who knows?
“It’s going to be fun in the summer and hopefully it will be a bit warm and the crowds at TRNSMT have always been notorious for being super rowdy and super fun.”
TRNSMT will be running from Friday July 7 to Sunday July 9 at Glasgow Green with Calum taking to the King Tut’s stage to perform. Tickets can be bought online but fans have been urged not to wait if they do not wish to miss Calum and many names live on stage.
