An area of Edinburgh has seen a spate of car break-ins during the coronation weekend with thieves smashing the windows of several vehicles in Leith.
The first incident reported was on Spiers Place after a white Fiat 500 had the back window smashed in on Saturday, May 6.
Another black vehicle on Yardheads was also spotted with the front window smashed on Sunday, May 7. There is a notice on the vehicle asking the owner to contact Police Scotland.

Several posts have been circulating social media alerting vehicle owners when residents have spotted vandalised cars in their area and most have been around Leith so far.
A local resident who noticed one of the smashed cars outside their home told Edinburgh Live: "I couldn't believe how many incidents I saw over the weekend.
"It's such a petty crime but I'm really worried about leaving my car parked overnight now because I can't afford the repairs for the window to be replaced if it happens."
They added: "I never leave anything valuable in the car overnight - but I don't think many people do. I don't know why they are targeting certain cars but it's worrying."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Thursday May 4 2023 and Saturday, May 6, 2023, Police were called to reports of break-ins to vehicles in the Yardheads area of Leith, Edinburgh.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
