Edinburgh gamers can take part in a Mario Kart tournament right in the heart of the city centre.
Arcade bar NQ64 is hosting the event between 4pm and 7pm on Wednesday August 24. Competitors are invited down to burn some rubber with Bowser or tear it up with Toad to show what they are made of to the rest of the capital.
The winner of the time trial tournament will scoop free gaming tokens for the bar for a whole year as well as a trophy. To enter participants must send the Lothian Road bar a direct message over Instagram with their name.

NQ64 previously held a comedian Mario Kart tournament on August 10 to see who was the fastest comic in Edinburgh, to celebrate the Fringe Festival. Its final will take place on the same night as the time trials.
Bar staff released a statement on Instagram on Tuesday.
It read:“Fancy getting free tokens for a whole year and a trophy just for playing Mario Kart? We’re doing a little time trial competition between 4pm and 7pm tomorrow (August 24) to round off the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
“We’ll have some comedian pals down to try their hand too. Entry is free, just drop us a DM with your name to enter.”
Follow the bar's official Instagram account for more updates and to enter.
