Edinburgh Airport passengers evacuated as fire crews race to restaurant blaze

A number of Edinburgh Airport passengers were evacuated on Tuesday after a fire broke out in one of the terminal restaurants.

Crowds of travellers were forced to leave the building shortly after 8pm on September 27 as the blaze sparked inside the Hudson Bar and Grill.

Emergency services including both fire crews and police had raced to the airport in response to reports of the incident, with a number of engines rushing to the tarmac outside.
