Edinburgh Airport has shared updated parking guidance to passengers.
With July officially upon us, peak summer holiday season is here, and so the airport has posted on its website instructions on how to get to each of its car parks. It also explained what each car park is for those who are unsure what the right choice for them is.
The airport shared a series of maps so that travellers can visualise where each car park is, and how far away from the terminal they all are. As can be seen in the images, some are a lot closer than others — but that comes with a price.

From the convenience but high cost of the self-service valet FastPark to the affordable Plane Parking to everything in between, there is a car park to suit every passenger's needs.
As shared by Edinburgh Airport, here is a guide on how to get to each of its car parks.
FastPark
FastPark is the airport's self-service valet car park, and is the most convenient one for passengers who want to get to the terminal as quickly as possible. It is located where the ExpressTest Covid-19 testing site used to be, and reopened to the public earlier this year.
In terms of directions, Edinburgh Airport wrote: "Basically if you’re coming in from the direction of Glasgow Road on Eastfield Road you simply go straight on at the roundabout next to the Moxy and DoubleTree by Hilton hotels, before turning left at the roundabout next to Hampton by Hilton on to Jubilee Road.
"Follow the road round past the Edinburgh Airport tower and from signs will direct you to FastPark. It’s as easy as that."

Multi-storey car park
Edinburgh Airport's multi-storey car park is "probably the closest you can get to the airport". Inside, there is a bridge that runs directly to security that can be used by passengers who booked the airport's fastTRACK priority service.
The directions on how to get here are very similar to the FastPark ones. However, the key difference is that you continue straight on at the Hampton by Hilton roundabout rather than turning left.

Terminal parking
The airport's terminal parking is just a short walk away from the check-in desks, so is a good choice for those who want to park close to the terminal but don't want to spend quite as much money as they would on the last two car parks.
According to Edinburgh Airport, it is "basically right in front of the multi-storey if you’re looking at it from the road in. Just after the roundabout at the Hampton by Hilton is where you’ll find this car park."
More information can be found here.
Mid-stay car park
The mid-stay car park is located further away than the previous ones were, so is not recommended for travellers with mobility issues. With that comes a cheaper price tag, however.
The airport says it is "still just as close to some parts of the terminal as terminal parking, but at a cheaper price". To find it, turn right at the roundabout next to the Moxy and DoubleTree by Hilton and onto Eastfield Avenue, before following the road and taking a left at the next roundabout at Gogar Bridge Road.
More information can be found here.
Long-stay car park
As the name suggests, this car park is recommended for those who will be travelling for more than a couple of days. It will take you roughly 10 minutes to get to the check-in desks, so make sure you plan for that.
As it is located on the other side of the mid-stay car park, the directions are largely the same. The major difference is that you turn right at the roundabout across the tram tracks at the end of Eastfield Avenue instead of left.
More information can be found here.
Plane Parking
Edinburgh Airport's Plane Parking car park is its cheapest one available. It states that shuttle buses run from the car park to the check-in hall every 12 minutes, so all in all it should take you around 10 minutes to get to the terminal.
The airport states: "To get to Plane Parking go along Eastfield Road towards the roundabout at the Moxy and DoubleTree by Hilton. Take the third exit, cross the tram tracks, and then take the third exit at the next roundabout, as if you're heading to the Long Stay. Follow the signs for Plane Parking and you'll be there in no time."
