Edinburgh Airport has revealed that it saw a major surge in visitors in April, marking the busiest month since summer 2019, before the pandemic.
According to the airport, it saw 16 years of growth in four months, with overall passenger numbers rising from 317,011 in January to 931,522 last month.
It also revealed that the last time that it had seen a month as quiet as January was back in 1999, with Omicron and restrictions leading people to stay at home rather than travel.
