Eddie's England make backline Test shuffle

England coach Eddie Jones has reshuffled his backline for the second Test against Australia. (AAP)

Eddie Jones has shuffled his backline for the second Test against the Wallabies in Brisbane, but left exciting winger Henry Arundell on the bench.

The Australian coach will give debuts to Tommy Freeman and Guy Porter on the wing and at No.13 respectively, while halfback Jack van Poortvliet will make his first start for England after scoring a try coming on as a finisher last weekend.

London Irish 19-year-old Arundell scored a brilliant try with his first touch in the 30-28 loss in Perth last week, but will remain on the bench as a late-game option.

Porter comes in for Joe Marchant and Freeman replaces the underperforming Joe Cokanasiga on the left wing.

Van Poortvliet has been given the nod ahead of Danny Care while Sam Underhill replaces Tom Curry (concussion) in the No.7.

Victory in Perth snapped an eight-game losing streak against England for Australia, while the Wallabies have won their last 10 Tests at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.

"We have decided to make changes in our back line," Jones said.

"They were tough calls but we feel they will strengthen the team. There are opportunities to attack against Australia which we can take.

"This game is the perfect practice for the World Cup and our focus is putting on our best performance."

ENGLAND: Freddie Steward, Jack Nowell, Guy Porter, Owen Farrell, Tommy Freeman, Marcus Smith, Jack van Poortvliet, Ellis Genge, Jamie George, Will Stuart, Maro Itoje, Jonny Hill, Courtney Lawes, Sam Underhill, Billy Vunipola. Reserves: Luke Cowan-Dickie, Mako Vunipola, Joe Heyes, Ollie Chessum, Lewis Ludlam, Jack Willis, Danny Care, Henry Arundell.
