Crystal Palace are reportedly concerned after Eddie Nketiah suffered a hamstring injury in a private session away from the Eagles training ground.
Eddie Nketiah Injury Update
The former Arsenal striker has endured a difficult start to life at Selhurst Park, failing to contribute to a single goal in seven Premier League appearances.
Crystal Palace signed Nketiah for around £30 million, making the 25-year-old their second most expensive signing of all time – behind Christian Benteke.
Now to make matters worse, the Crystal Palace striker is set to miss their next match against Fulham following a new hamstring injury.
The cause of this injury has left Crystal Palace concerned, as reports suggest that the 25-year-old sustained this injury during a private training session with a personal trainer from outside of the club’s jurisdiction.
Outside interference from private training sessions has become a huge issue for clubs across the country, with players using their own methods to prepare for matches.
Palace expect their summer singing to be return from injury after the international break, but an exact date has not been confirmed as they look into the hamstring injury further.
Oliver Glasner has been put under huge scrutiny as many expected the Eagles to be pushing for the European spots following a strong end to the 2023/24 campaign.
However, the Eagles have won just one match from their opening 10 and sitting two points above the relegation places.
A host of important players have suffered injuries this season, with the biggest absence being Eberechi Eze who is also dealing with a hamstring injury.
What Games Will Nketiah Miss?
As previously mentioned, Nketiah will miss Crystal Palace’s upcoming Premier League match against Fulham and Glasner will also be without Eberechi Eze.
With the international break around the corner it softens the blow for Crystal Palace slightly, as Nketiah should have time to recover for the fixtures that follow.
However, an exact return date has yet to be confirmed meaning the striker may be absent for Palace’s trip to Villa Park on November 23rd.
