Eddie Howe says his players passed a test of character against Wolverhampton Wanderers after going on to win the game despite being pegged back.
The Magpies had watched Alexander Isak's opener cancelled out by Hwang Hee-chan in the second half but went on to win it thanks to Miguel Almiron. It was the perfect response to being dropped by Almiron who struck with 11 minutes left.

Howe reflected after the 2-1 win: "The first half performance in general was very good. Alexander Isak scored a massive goal for us. When it’s a one-goal lead it's very delicate. It should have been more at half time.
"Wolves came back into the game, but the character shown by the group to go again and get the winning goal is a great feeling for us."
Wolves were left fuming after Raul Jimenez saw a penalty shout turned down in the first half. Howe said: "I didn’t think it was a penalty personally at the time, you might say I’m biased.
"I think it was Raul Jimenez going down before the contact was made."
