Eddie Howe and Newcastle United were able to welcome back Brazil star Bruno Guimaraes back to training today. The 25-year-old returned to Tyneside following Quarter-Final heartbreak at the World Cup where the Selecao were beaten on penalties by Croatia.
Guimaraes played a bit-part role for his national side at the tournament, making just two appearances in Qatar, clocking up 66 minutes on the field. Head coach Tite opted for an attacking line-up in the majority of Brazil's games, leaving Bruno on the bench much to the dismay of Newcastle United supporters.
Nonetheless, the Toon Army will be buoyed by his return to Tyneside unscathed after an injury scare in the build-up to the tournament. The Magpies star was on the receiving end of a robust challenge in one of Brazil's final training sessions leading up to the tournament.

Guimaraes was seen hobbling off the field to receive treatment before completing the session. The knock didn't hamper his involvement in the World Cup and supporters of a black and white contingent will be hoping he's able to put any disappointment behind him and pick up where he left off with Newcastle.
The deep-lying playmaker is the latest Newcastle representative from the World Cup to return to training this week with Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier reporting for duty yesterday.
