Eddie Howe has praised "excellent" Newcastle United after the Magpies stormed into the semi-finals of the League Cup with a tremendous win over Leicester City.
Newcastle negotiated their way past the Foxes after a tough first hour at St James' Park with goals from Joelinton and Dan Burn.
Howe was thrilled with the performance and said afterwards: "We were excellent. Really good intensity and created a lot of chances but the only disappointment was we didn't score earlier. It was an incredible moment for Dan Burn."

And reflecting on the moment that the former season ticket holder broke the deadlock, Howe said: "I am so pleased for him. "This is his club and he has come back here and he is savouring every moment. I am so pleased for him."
Howe refused to get carried away by the victory as sweet as it was. He said: "We still have a long way to go, we are just pleased to be in it and the two legged semi-final is something we will savour and we will give it our best shot."
