Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has issued a transfer promise that the Magpies will not only hold on to Brazil star Bruno Guimaraes - but his main aim is to build a team around the midfielder.
Howe recently signed a long-term contract and has big plans in the transfer market, not only in this window but beyond.
The Magpies boss - whose head of technical scouting Andy Howe is planning ahead for the years to come - is excited about the future and feels he can eventually build a team with the strength in depth to challenge at the business end of the table.

The former AFC Bournemouth chief said: “Bruno has just started his journey with us.
“We desperately want him to grow with the team, we want him to make the team stronger and to show his qualities even more. That is our aim.”
Having fended off Real Madrid, Newcastle’s next challenge on Bruno could be to fight off interest after the World Cup when the midfielder’s stock could rise again.
It is believed that Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are admirers of Bruno but Howe said: “We’re trying to build a squad here that we feel can take the club to be successful over the next few years, and we want to build that squad and enhance the group, not take away our best players.”
