Eddie Howe says that he expects Miguel Almiron to be missing for six weeks after picking up a nightmare injury in training.
The Newcastle star was not involved at the City Ground last night due to a thigh problem and has been pulled out of Paraguay's squad for their friendly against Chile.
Howe said: "Miggy pulled a thigh muscle in training. Unfortunately, it’s quite a bad one. It’s going to be six weeks."
Howe did name Fabian Schar in the side that beat Forest despite him being pulled out of the Switzerland squad next week. Howe said: "Fabian’s been carrying lots of different things in the last few weeks.
"He’s been carrying a foot problem and also had concussion, so I think it’s just a chance for him to rest his body and go again."
