This week saw Jake Paul issue an ultimatum to Tommy Fury, stating that if he could not sort the visa issues preventing him from entering the US then the fight would be cancelled.
Fury was unable to fulfil Paul's wishes, leading to the fight being cancelled. However, the event is still set to take place, with a fight against former sparring partner Hasim Rahman Jr set to test Paul's boxing skills more seriously than they have been before.
However, this may not be the lucrative spectacle which Paul's Most Valuable productions will have been hoping for on the card alongside co-headline event Amanda Serrano vs Brenda Carbajal. This has led to the American YouTube star offering 500k to Fury to fight in the UK, avoiding the visa issues currently affecting the British boxer.

Paul tweeted Fury, offering the sum, he wrote: "I’m confident you are a scared little boy who doesn’t want to fight or understand business. I will pay you $500K to fight me in the UK. I will do it shortly after August 6. You accept?"
Fury responded, criticising the amount of money offered by saying: "I wouldn’t get out of bed to fight you for $500k - Let me know when you’re ready to have a serious conversation."
Now, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, who has arranged some of the biggest fights in boxing history, has spoken about the offer saying that the pair need each other to advance their boxing careers and maximise the opportunity.
The promoter was being interviewed by FightHub TV when he made the comments, explaining what he thought about the situation, saying: "The problem Tommy has is the only fight for him that can generate that kind of money is Jake. So Tommy really needs Jake. Listen, Jake needs Tommy as well, the two of them make a good fight."
As things stand, the fight will go ahead on August 6 against Rahman Jr, but with Paul still angling for a date with Fury, it could well be the case that we see some more developments in the story in the coming months.
