Eddie Hall vs Thor Bjornsson fight date and venue announced after injury delay

Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson will finally clash on March 19 in a fight dubbed the 'heaviest in history'.

The fight was set to take place on September 18 last year but Hall was forced to withdraw after suffering a detached bicep injury.

But with Hall now fully healed, the fight has been officially announced and will take place in Dubai.

An exhibition bout between the pair has been in the works for a long time ever since the pair began their exploits in the ring.

Words have long been exchanged between the pair during their rivalry particularly after Hall was forced to pull out of their scheduled fight.

Hall has made a bold knockout prediction for any meeting in the ring and has made a charity wager for the bout.

“I want to make this a bit easier for you Thor, and please everyone put pressure on him now, so the new deal is, if I beat you then you have to pay $100,000 to my choice of charity," Hall said.

“If you beat me, I will pay $200,000 to your choice of charity. Come on now, don’t ignore me, this is for charity.

“We will get the promoter to write it into the contract, so there’s no getting out of it. Everyone put pressure on Thor now, don’t ignore me again. Let’s do something good for charity.”

When Hall pulled out last year, Bjornsson took on arm-wrestling champion Devon Larratt whom he dispatched within one round.

And the Game of Thrones star countered Hall's offer and has promised to score a fourth round knockout of his own.

"Anyway, I love this. I love to give back, I’m all about charities, so I’m absolutely down. I’m perfect for this," Bjornsson responded.

"But I actually have a counter offer for you. I would like to match your $200,000, and I would like to give those $200,000 to a charity, and I would like you to do the same thing, no matter what.

“Win or lose, we both get a win, and we give more to charity. The winner of the event will of course get to choose where that $400,000 goes to, which charity.

“I have one final thing to say, I predict to knock you out in round four. How? With an uppercut. So be ready, train smart, train hard, stop the bull****. Let’s make this fight happen.”

Bjornsson has been pictured meeting current heavyweight champion Tyson Fury who shared a joke about their polar opposite physiques.

The Icelandic star also continued his rivalry with Hall after his victory by branding him a "fat guy" which will raise the stakes of their bout further.
