Eddie Hall admitted he was still struggling with his injured left arm before he was defeated by bitter rival Thor Bjornsson earlier this month.
The British star suffered a detached bicep last year which initially postponed their scheduled clash until March this year. Hall was visibly struggling with his left arm during their clash where he eventually fell to unanimous decision defeat.
Hall has now broken his silence for the first time since the devastating loss, and has congratulated Bjornsson by offering his respect. "The commentator at some point mentions whether there's something wrong with my left arm and I can only be honest and say yes, there was," Hall said on his YouTube channel. "I f***** my biceps seven months ago and since then I haven't been able to use my left arm. I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying it is how it is.
"It's time for me to eat some humble pie and address a few things. First of all I want to say a massive well done to Thor; well done on the fight. I want to take this opportunity to say how great a strongman you are - or were - and to appreciate you as a man and for the things you've done.
"At the end of the day you're a phenomenon, a giant among us, you're special and you want to leave a mark and inspire your offspring. Thor, well done on the boxing match, you definitely employed better tactics. I suppose my downfall was, I saw it as a fight and I wanted a fight. I just wanted to smash you in the face and that was my downfall."
Hall was forced to have surgery to correct the damage he sustained last year but repeatedly vowed he was ready to settle his grudge with Bjornsson. However he ultimately came up short after being sent crashing to the canvas twice despite a positive start.

A heated build-up set precedent for the strongman clash with the pair duelling during the week with Bjornsson throwing a can of energy drink at his rival, before Hall knocked over a table at the final face-off. However the back story that was most prevalent during their exchanges of verbal jabs, was Bjornsson's accusation that Hall cheated to win World's Strongest Man 2017.
The British star has now vowed to bury the hatchet with regards to the strongman competition and he believes a boxing fight has now resolved their issues. "It's time for us to move on from what happened at the World's Strongest Man in 2017," he continued.
"I understand why Thor did what he did and why he said what he said. Nothing will ever change that, he will always have the perception he was robbed in 2017. I wanted to punch this man in the face for a long time and I got that a chance and i think it's helped me to resolve things."
