Ed Sheeran’s tour is falling apart. Will he take the stage on Saturday?

  • Ed Sheeran 's U.S. Loop Tour is falling apart after opening act Macklemore was dropped from remaining dates over his on-stage pro-Palestinian statements.
  • Promoter Messina Touring Group removed Macklemore after venue owners, led by Kraft Group CEO Robert Kraft , threatened to cancel concert dates if the rapper performed.
  • Supporting acts Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe, and Sheeran’s touring band Beoga subsequently withdrew from the tour in solidarity with Macklemore and Palestine.
  • Sheeran stated that the promoter made the decision to cut Macklemore and defended his choice to remain apolitical, despite facing criticism from fellow musicians.
  • The remaining tour dates are currently scheduled to proceed starting in Philadelphia on Saturday, though replacement opening acts have not yet been announced.
