Ed Sheeran Playfully Mocks Own Lyrics From Hit Song Thinking Out Loud

“Aggressive” Ed Sheeran Roasts Fan Who Misheard Lyrics From ‘Thinking Out Loud’

Ed Sheeran recently engaged in some playful banter with his fans regarding his hit love ballad, Thinking Out Loud. The singer, known for his self-deprecating humor, jokingly addressed the lyrics of the song where he promises to love someone 'until [they’re] 70.' Fans have been teasing Sheeran about what happens after the supposed love expiration date, prompting the singer to join in on the fun.

In a cheeky video shared on social media, Sheeran humorously responded to the queries about what happens 'when they turn 71' by flipping the camera off, throwing his guitar over his shoulder, and walking away like a rockstar. He captioned the video with 'Dont hate the player hate the game.'

Sheeran also playfully interacted with fans in the comments section, responding to one fan who misheard the lyrics as '17' with a witty remark. Several others admitted to also mishearing the lyrics as '17,' leading to a humorous exchange with the singer.

The singer's ability to poke fun at his own songs was well-received by fans, with many praising his sense of humor and comedic timing. Sheeran's hit ballad, Thinking Out Loud, released in 2014, earned him two Grammy awards and solidified his position as a music sensation.

Reflecting on the success of the song, Sheeran mentioned that he initially doubted he could write a song as good as his previous hit, 'A Team,' but Thinking Out Loud surpassed his expectations. He also acknowledged his collaboration with folk singer Amy Wadge in creating the song.

Despite the accolades received for Thinking Out Loud, Sheeran expressed that he believed his track 'Perfect' was a better song and not the peak of his career. The singer's willingness to engage with fans and showcase his humorous side has endeared him to a wider audience, showcasing a different facet of his personality beyond his musical talents.
