An Ed Sheeran lookalike had to be moved to safety after being mobbed for selfies during the singer's gig in Manchester. Security guards stepped in after Wes Byrne was feared to be creating a fire risk – and moved him from his £82.50 seat to a VIP zone, where tickets sell for more than £1,000.
Wes who has previously met superstar Sheeran, bought tickets to see him perform at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month. But the 30-year-old, from Shaw, Oldham, had to be rescued by his sister after hordes of fans asking him for selfies as he made his way to the loo.
Among those asking for pictures were former Love Islanders Callum Jones and Molly Smith, the Mirror reports. There was such a crowd that Wes, his sister Sammy, 33, and her eight-year-old son AJ had to be moved to safety by security.
