Ed Sheeran and Frank Lampard gleefully wrap arms around each leaving London boozer

Ed Sheeran and Everton F.C manager Frank Lampard put their arms around each other as they left a London boozer.

Both stars had reasons to be cheerful as Ed, 31, last week won a copyright battle at the High Court, while ex England player Frank's team secured 1-0 win over Manchester United, although his future at Everton still appears uncertain.

The pair were spotted leaving The Chelsea Pig Pub, in Chelsea, after letting their hair down for two hours inside, following Everton's victory.

On the walk home they had their arms around each other and laughed and joked, with Ed wearing a blue jumper in support of Frank's club.

The Photograph singer teamed his jumper with an orange coat, while Frank wore a dark jumper and jacket as they strolled along the street.

The pals go back a long way, as Ed performed at Frank's 2015 wedding to television presenter Christine Bleakley, 43, singing We Found Love.

It was a star studded event, with Holly Willoughby, Louise and Jamie Redknapp and Ant & Dec among the celebs in attendance.

Ed appears to have had a busy few days following his victory at the High Court, as on Sunday he stopped by at a Birmingham pub with his friend and rapper Jaykae, who is from the area.

The songwriter enjoyed a few pints and even had a go at pulling some himself, although landlord Ian Connor said his skills left something to be desired.

The dad-of-one also had a go at pool with the punters and led a sing-along to Serani hit No Games.

"He was absolutely sound, great to everyone, having a laugh and a joke and a game of pool with the lads," Ian said, adding: "He was absolutely brilliant. As good as gold, really down to earth."

Ian, who runs The Roost pub in Small Heath, said: "He never complained once, he didn't whinge about having a photo with anyone and he even had a go at pulling a few pints.

"He can't pull a pint though, I can tell you that!"

That weekend Ed was spotted at a curry house in Birmingham, which is a favourite of actor Tom Cruise.

Last Thursday, the singer won his High Court battle, when a judge ruled he did not steal part of his single Shape of You from another song.

Ed and the song's co-writers, Snow Patrol’s John McDaid and producer Steven McCutcheon, denied ripping off the song by Oh Why Sami Chokri.

Chokri, a grime artist who performs under the name Sami Switch, and his co-writer Ross O’Donoghue, claimed an “Oh I” hook in Shape Of You is “strikingly similar” to an “Oh Why” refrain in their track.

But In a verdict given remotely, Mr Justice Zacaroli said Sheeran "neither deliberately or subconsciously copied the phrase."

In a joint statement following the verdict, the trio spoke of the toll the case had on their mental health, adding: "It affects so many aspects of our everyday lives and the lives of our families and friends."
