EasyJet issues urgent update to customers flying to Cyprus in February

Although many of us are ready to jet off abroad as countries around the world re-emerge from covid - some still have requirements before arriving.

Cyprus still has covid testing requirements for all passengers entering the country.

EasyJet said in a statement that the latest rules will end on March 1 in the country and explained the latest situation for passengers.

The Government of Cyprus has announced that until the end of February 2022 there will be additional changes to testing requirements for passengers entering Cyprus.

All customers will be required to:

  • show proof of a negative pre-departure test (either PCR taken within 72 hours or antigen taken within 24 hours before departure) to be able to fly
  • undergo an additional PCR test at the airport after arrival (paid by the customer)

The post-arrival PCR test requirement applies to all customers with no exemptions.

EasyJet added on its website: "In addition, 72 hours after arrival customers who have not received a booster vaccine will have to take an antigen test (provided free of charge by the Ministry of Health of Cyprus).

"Please make sure you check the latest government advice before you travel.

"The government of Cyprus has announced that these restrictions will be easing from March 1 2022, for more information, please check the latest government advice."
