UK holidaymakers travelling to Italy on Friday October 21 could face disruption to their flights, easyJet has warned. This is due to national strike action which will affect air traffic control and ground handling services.
Customers are being advised to allow extra time for travel and to check the status of their flight. Passengers whose flights have been cancelled will be contacted by the airline.
In a statement on their website, easyJet said: “We have been informed of national strike action in Italy on Friday 21st October, which will affect air traffic control and ground handling services. Like most airlines operating to and from Italy, we may see some disruption to our flight schedules on this date.
