easyJet has dropped its prices on hundreds of flights in its latest 2023 sale with a huge saving for passengers taking off from Newcastle International Airport.
Some routes are reduced by more than £180 per ticket in what's now thought to be the cheapest time to book, but it does depend on dates and demand.
The cheaper prices can be found on dates between December 2023 and the end of March 2024, for travellers looking to plan ahead for this festive period or see in the new year with a deal. The heads up of the surprise sale was given by consumer expert Martin Lewis, as he advised passengers to set alarms in order to get the best deal possible.

The deals have now landed, and a couple of hours into the sale there are some flights with hundreds of pounds off, however, some 'cheaper sale prices' have inflated due to the sheer demand, so passengers are being warned to buy a deal as soon as it's spotted. To help travellers save money we've rounded up flights out of Newcastle Airport to see what is actually a 'deal'.
The best offer in today's sale is on the Newcastle to Geneva, Switzerland route, where passengers could save more than £180.
The cheapest time to fly is at the end of January 2024 when a single flight is listed for £27, £187 cheaper than a single ticket this March 2023. A last-minute flight out this Saturday, March 11 is £214 one-way.
The Newcastle to Geneva route seems to have some of the cheapest prices on selected dates, but it does depend on the demand.
The sale route in February 2024 (which is during the sale season) has prices up to £242 each way. This has risen since the popularity of the sale today as more people go onto the site to find a deal.
Another destination included in easyJet's sale are shorter flights to Belfast, which are currently reduced to around £30 each way, making a return flight around £60. This is a lot cheaper than current prices, single tickets to Belfast this March 2023 are currently priced between £48 and £112 each way.
For passengers looking to get away before the end of this year the airline also has a range of summer holiday packages, including on its main flight route to Palma de Majorca, Spain. The summer deal includes return flights, hotel bookings and transfers.
The cheapest price we've found in the height of summer, a two week stay from June 2 is from £900. This includes return flight from Newcastle Airport, 14 nights at the Playa de Muro hotel and a breakfast package.
