In the latest update, the travel provider announced it was scrapping all flights from the UK to Hurghada, Egypt in June and July.
Those planning on flying from Glasgow Airport will also be affected as the original journey involves a change at Bristol on the way there and London on the return.
A spokesperson for easyJet told GlasgowLive: "easyJet is operating up to 1700 flights carrying up to a quarter of a million customers every day. There are industry wide operational issues that are impacting airlines at the moment, which means we have made a number of pre-emptive cancellations which includes not operating to Hurghada from the UK for the remainder of June and July.
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience this will cause. We are informing customers in advance to minimise the impact on their plans and provide the option to rebook before travelling or receive a refund, and our customer service hours have been extended to support affected customers. We continue to monitor the operation closely and take action in advance as needed."
What to do if your flight is cancelled
If your flight is cancelled, you are entitled for a full refund or a replacement flight to get you to your destination.
Citizen Advice also add: "If you’re part-way through a journey and you don’t want a replacement flight, you also have a right to a flight back to the airport you originally departed from.
"Ask for a refund or replacement at the airport if you can. If not, you can claim from the airline later.
"You also have a legal right to:
- Help with costs - If the cancellation delays you two or more hours.
- Compensation - If you’d be delayed two or more hours by the replacement flight offered and you were given less than two weeks' notice."
