Easy way to get a McDonald's Big Mac and fries for £1.99 each time you visit

McDonald's fans can get their hands on a Big Mac and fries for £1.99 thanks to a simple hack - so long as they have a phone to hand. All customers can make the most of the offer as long as they print out a receipt when visiting a restaurant. As eagle-eyed shoppers will already know, McDonald's receipts explain how to complete the chain's customer feedback surveys online.

Simply follow the instructions - it will take a matter of seconds - and you'll be rewarded with a discount code for your time. The only catch is you'll need a receipt from a previous trip no more than 60 days prior, but that will still leave you with plenty of time to cash in on your reward.

What's more, the code can also be used to redeem a cheaper Fillet-O-Fish, or Vegetable Deluxe, if the Big Mac doesn't take your fancy, and you can use a code on every visit.

Yes, that's right. You can make the most of the hack on multiple visits, although you'll need a different receipt every time, as each individual code can only be redeemed once.

The easy part is that you access the code the same way, regardless of the fast food you want to enjoy for less.

Enter the 12 digit code from your receipt on McDonald's Food for Thought website, complete the survey as previously explained, and you'll receive a five digit code. Make sure to take a note of this, then use it next time you order to enjoy a serious saving.

Given customers can normally expect to pay £3.49 for a Big Mac alone before fries are added, getting your meal for £1.99 is a bargain.

If you fancy treating your tastebuds to something different, there's always the new items set to be introduced later this week.

In a major menu change, the fast food chain will offer a new spicy wrap and a double vegan burger. The new switch-up also sees the return of some previous favourites. The full details on the menu overhaul can be found here.
