Ireland’s main supermarkets have altered their opening hours for the Easter bank holiday weekend.
Anyone looking to stock up on Easter eggs or get supplies for Easter Sunday dinner is advised to check their local store’s operating times in advance, as many will be opening late and closing early on certain days.
Some shops have announced they will be closed for all of Easter Sunday, which is on April 9 this year.

Many supermarkets have issued reminders to customers ahead of the long weekend.
The majority are operating as normal Friday with changes across Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Lidl
Lidl hasn't yet confirmed their official Easter bank holiday weekend opening hours, however - like previous years - they are expected to be operating as normal Friday and Saturday, closed Sunday and open shorter hours on Monday.
Friday, April 7 - 8am until 10pm
Saturday, April 8 - 8am until 10pm
Sunday, April 9 - Closed
Monday, April 10 - 9am until 9pm
Tesco
Tesco opening hours across Ireland vary greatly. Outlets are expected to be operating their usual hours Friday and Saturday, and Sunday hours both Sunday and Monday, while select stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Customers are advised to check their local store with the online locater to see what time it opens and closes.
SuperValu
Each SuperValu store will likely be operating as normal Friday and Saturday and their usual Sunday hours on Sunday and Monday. These all vary depending on the individual stores.

Aldi
Aldi has confirmed their stores will open until 10pm on Friday and 9pm on Saturday. They will close on Sunday and open until 9pm on Monday.

Dunnes Stores
Dunnes Stores shops across Ireland will be running at reduced hours over the Easter weekend, with some opening late and closing early. Many will be closed on Easter Sunday.
