Supermarkets across Ireland will be operating at different hours today, as Lidl and Aldi confirm they will be shut nationwide.
Amended hours will also be seen on Monday for the bank holiday but most will be open and operating their usual Sunday hours.
Families will be gathering today for the annual Easter Sunday dinner, so whether you’re the chef for the day or a guest in someone’s home and have some last-minute bits, there will be a few supermarkets open early on.

Although Lidl and Aldi shut their doors on Saturday night and won’t reopen until Monday, the likes of Supervalu, Tesco and some Dunnes Stores could be open in your area today - for a few hours at least.
So here is what you need to know about some of the most popular Irish supermarkets’ opening hours today:
Lidl
All Lidl stores across Ireland will operate the same opening hours across the long weekend and will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Sunday, April 17 - Closed
Monday, April 19 - 9am until 9pm
Tesco
Tesco opening hours across Ireland will vary with a lot of places implementing their usual Sunday hours.
Some stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Customers are advised to check their local store with the online locator to see what time it opens and closes.
SuperValu
Each SuperValu will likely be operating on Sunday hours but these all vary depending on the individual stores.

Aldi
All Aldi stores across Ireland will operate the same opening hours across the long weekend and will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Dunnes Stores
Most will be closed on Easter Sunday, according to the Dunnes Stores website.
