Phoenix Park Bikes Easter Hunt
This is a slightly more expensive option, but well worth it for pedal pushing children. Kids can take part in an Easter Egg hunt on a designated cycling path in Phoenix Park.
The activity gives kids an hour and a half to complete a scavenger hunt via bike. Trivia questions also form part of the quest before participants receive their Easter Egg at the end of the trail.
Tickets for the event cost €20 per person. The event runs from the 3 to 16 April, with further information on booking available online.
The Easter Emporium at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre
Families looking for some free activities over Easter should head to Liffey Valley for some fun workshops. The Easter Emporium offers kids the chance to learn about sustainability through crafts, with all participants taking home a free chocolate egg.
The workshops will run from the 5 to the 8 April at the shopping centre. While the event is free, pre-booking is required.
Willy Wonka's Easter Show, KidsZone Tallaght
This walk through show gives kids the chance to meet the Easter Bunny in person and will feature some surprise guests. Kids will also enjoy half an hour of playtime in KidsZone and will go home with a free Easter egg or activity book.
Tickets for the event cost €20 and can be purchased through Eventbrite. Babies under the age of one come free if visiting with older siblings.
Zipit Dublin Mountains
This exciting zip line course will tire out even the most lively of kids. Zipit is located in Rathfarnham at the base of the Dublin Mountains. It's suitable for children aged seven and over and bookings can be made online.
Parents are encouraged to book in advance due to high demand. Zipit has a limited amount of harnesses that fill up fast during peak season.
Dublin Zoo
Animal lovers can avail of the zoo on the bank holiday weekend, as it remains open this Easter Sunday. There is also a special Junior Easter workshop for zoo enthusiasts, suitable for kids aged 6-12 years of age.
The educational workshops give kids the chance to delve into the animal world and learn more about the historic Dublin Zoo. Workshops will run on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th April from 10:30am-2:30pm. Bookings can be made via Dublin Zoo's website.
