EastEnders viewers are convinced George Knight will be the death this Christmas, after some possible clues in his debut episode.
The character and his two daughters Gina and Anna made their arrival in Walford on Thursday night, to join his new partner Elaine Peacock.
Elaine has just gone into business with her daughter Linda Carter, with them co-owning The Queen Vic pub.
What Linda wasn't expecting was Elaine to move in her new family, with George revealing he would help them run the pub.
Soon, mum and daughter were clashing and Linda was also screaming at George, as he attempted to move things around in the pub.
As Linda made it clear she didn't trust him and repeatedly called him out, there were also hints to him hiding something.
With EastEnders teasing George and the Knights have a "dark past", George was seen making a cryptic phone call with it teased he has a secret, and that maybe Elaine doesn't know everything about her man.
Throughout the episode there were hints to him being violent, as mentions of his professional boxing career and nearly killing someone, as well as his threats to Nish Panesar, suggested he wasn't someone to be messed with.
Other comments about "ghosts" and that he "would die" for his daughters left viewers convinced there could be some foreshadowing going on.
With Elaine and the Knights now in the pub too, the place where the death happens this Christmas, and fans knowing that Linda is one of the suspects in the death, viewers are convinced all signs point to George being the victim.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Decided to watch the Knights’ #Eastenders debut and I’m already predicting that George will have some connection to Cindy Beale. I also think George or Ian may be the one who dies on Xmas Day."
Another fan said: "Already teasing some darkness or maybe I'm just hoping. Elaine seems to not know of his violent past. I'm already terrified he'll be on the floor at christmas ."
A third viewer tweeted: "I bet it’ll be George on the floor on Christmas day when everyone finds out who he really is," as a fourth said: "'He would die for them girls' - Christmas hint."
The comments kept on coming too, with another reading: "Wait 'too many ghosts' could that be foreshadowing he's the one that dies at Christmas?" as a sixth fan said: "Well clearly he is the one now that dies in the Christmas flash forward."
It comes after viewers believed they may have worked out the mystery caller who newcomer George was shown speaking to on Thursday night.
Shortly after his debut George was seen sneaking off to answer his phone while the identity of the caller was not shared. As he headed outside of The Vic, he spoke discreetly on the phone to a mystery person.
While he seemed calm and as though he knew the person on the other end of the line, he told them: "Yeah, I can't talk right now. I will call you back."
The conversation ended there and there was no further calls or mention of the call, while Nish Panesar did catch the conversation.
With EastEnders teasing the family or George have "a dark past", viewers believed it was a secret lover or maybe even George's missing wife who he might have been speaking to.
Viewers know that his ex hasn't been a part of their lives for some time and her whereabouts are a mystery, while it's soon claimed that she walked out on the family when the girls were younger.
Taking to Twitter, one fan suggested: "I do like George but I feel like there will eventually be some sort of plot twist with his character, especially since he was on the phone.. it was probably rose (mentioned in the episode descriptions)."
Another viewer asked: "Is that George's secret wife on the phone?" as a third said: "That was definitely Georges other woman, or wife on the phone."
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
