EastEnders' the Carters plan final goodbye for Tina ahead of funeral return drama

EastEnders will see the Carters beginning to move on later this month on the BBC soap, after recently finding out Tina was dead.

Tina was murdered by serial killer Gray Atkins in December 2020, with him then disposing of her body and making it look as though she'd gone on the run - following an incident with the police.

Just weeks ago, they found out that not only had Tina been dead the whole time, and Gray knew, but her body was buried just a few buildings away from where they live.

The news sent the family spiralling as they struggled with their loss, and the guilt that they didn't realise what had happened.

Recent scenes saw the family find out how she died and what her final moments were like, as Gray finally confessed all to the police.

But in the coming weeks, ahead of an exit and a return for the family, the Carters will try to come to terms with their loss and move on.

Spoilers for the episode set to air on Thursday 31 March reveal Mick and Shirley sit down to plan the late character's funeral, wanting to give her the send-off she deserves.

But will the family be able to come together and get it right for their beloved relative?

It comes following images from location last month, as the cast were spotted filming the funeral in question.

The pictures confirmed a return for Mick's wife Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, amid a tough time for the duo.

It doesn't look good either, as Linda appears to show up drunk and causes chaos as the grieving family try to say their goodbyes.

Alcoholic Linda hit the bottle again shortly after her exit from Walford last year, as she fled with her baby daughter in fear of the baby's real father, Max Branning, coming back.

Since then, Linda has been drinking again it seems there is no way back for the couple.

Mick, played by Danny Dyer, will soon be leaving the soap for good after quitting the role in January this year.

It's not known where this leaves Linda and her own Walford return, with actress Kellie currently off-screen after going on maternity leave.
