Ricky Champ's pregnant wife Samantha was admitted to Southend hospital on Tuesday, after suffering high blood pressure.
The blogger, who is expecting her second child with the EastEnders actor, 41, took to her Instagram stories from her hospital bed as she wrote she was "not where I was expecting today".
Hooked up to a pulse oximeter to measure her oxygen levels, Samantha reassured fans her baby was doing ok and she was being monitored for high blood pressure.
Samantha wrote: "Not where I planned spending today. Everything’s OK with bub, just high blood pressure for me. Southend hospital midwives are amazing. We are so lucky to have the NHS."
Samantha later appeared to be discharged from hospital and took to her stories to share a snap of their daughter Beatrix, four, eating an ice cream.
The couple announced they were expecting their second child back in January. Sharing a picture of their scan, Ricky wrote: "Baby Champ due July 2022".
Fans flocked to share their support to the soap star and his partner, with actor Danny Hatchard commenting: "Huge congrats mate!"
Ricky and Samantha tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their daughter Beatrix in 2017.
Samantha recently told her followers they had planned to have a second child, after they suffered a devastating miscarriage last summer.
When one fan asked during a Q and A: "'Was baby number 2 planned? Congratulations too", the blogger replied: "Yes baby 2 was planned. I always wanted to wait until B was more independent, but not so long that they wouldn't be close.
"We had a loss in August which was very sad, so I feel lucky to have fallen pregnant again so soon after."
Ricky has recently taken centre stage in Albert Square with a big storyline but it isn't the first time that he appeared in the soap before taking on Stuart Highway.
Back in 2009, he played a photographer in The Queen Vic to take pictures of Sam Mitchell (Daniella Westbrook) before fleeing when she took umbrage.
Nine years later, Ricky returned on a permanent basis and he said at the time: "I'm so happy to be part of this brilliant team of people on this great show that I grew up watching.
"Look out Albert Square... Stuart’s coming!"
He has also starred in films Paddington 2, and The World's End, playing 'Big Nasty B*****d' in the latter.
Ricky has also acted in TV shows such as Doc Martin, Casualty, The Bill, Crims, Plebs, and Game of Thrones, where he played Gathins in series six.
