Former EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has admitted she now regrets undergoing weight-loss surgery, despite losing seven stone after fearing she was at risk of a heart attack.

The actress, who played Karen Taylor in the BBC soap, said that while the gastric sleeve procedure helped transform her health, she wishes she had taken a different route. Around 75 to 80 per cent of her stomach was removed during the operation.
