EastEnders legend Shaun Williamson - best known for previously playing Barry Evans on the soap - is living a peaceful, quiet life in the countryside.
The actor, 56, was born in Maidstone in Kent, and he has stuck to his home turf since shooting to fame on the long-running BBC programme.
Shaun famously played Barry from 1994 to 2004. His character's storyline saw him fall off the edge of a cliff after partner Janine Butcher pushed him.
Barry hit his head of some rocks - which led to his sudden death.
Since leaving the soap, Shaun found fame in other television shows, including The Bill, Inspector Morse, Doctors, Celebrity Juice, Casualty, and A League of their Own, just to name a few.
He recently appeared on the ITV show Beat The Chasers and took on all chasers in a bid to win money for charity.
Shaun took on all five chasers and won an impressive £120,000 for charity.
The actor was born on 29 November 1965 in Park Wood, Maidstone.
Shaun went to Holy Family RC Primary School and then St Simon Stock Catholic School, both in Maidstone.
After finishing school, he went on to become a postman.
The soap star hit rock bottom after he developed a serious issue with alcoholism at the age of 18.
Shaun was consuming 12 pints of beer a day as he spiralled out of control.
The troubled star told the Guardian : "I was a mess. I meet people sometimes who I knew when I did Club 18-30 and they tell me stories of what I got up to because I can't remember. I was on my way to becoming a chronic alcoholic."
Later. Shaun joined the Royal Navy in an attempt to break the habit.
He was focused on becoming a helicopter pilot, but was rejected when it was discovered he was colour blind.
After suffering a setback, he enrolled at the Webster Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
Things took a turn for the better as he landed his role as Barry on EastEnders - which saw his character stay on the show for an impressive 10 years before he was killed off.
Now, Shaun spends his time relaxing in the Kent countryside, with his wife Adele.
He met the forensic scientist back in 2014.
Shaun proposed to her in 2017, with the wedding reportedly happening shortly after in August 2018.
