Walford is set to be tormented once again by the return of a certain serial killer next week.
On Monday, Kim is incredibly anxious as she awaits her sentencing and despite Howie and Denise's attempts to reassure her, Kim is convinced that she'll go to prison.
Howie takes Denise to one side and tells her that they can't afford counselling for Kim, but that she desperately needs it.
Denise gives him £500 from her joint account with Jack, but Jack later sees that it is missing and lets rip.
Later at court, Denzel is nervous as he gives his statement but when the prosecution plays footage of the accident, Kim suffers a full-blown panic attack...
"She’s beside herself," actress Tameka Empson explains. "She really doesn’t want to go but she knows she has to do the right thing. Deep down there’s a feeling of ‘this could be it’ and she could go down for it.
"She’s trying to keep a brave face and she loves the fact that Denise is there – the Fox sisters through anything and everything! Denzel has been a real rock for Kim actually too. But she’s definitely very nervous and vulnerable. No Kim-ism will get her out of this, so she has to walk the walk."
Opening up about why Kim is so dismissive of Howie and Denise's reassurances, she says: "I think because she has to go to court and she knows what she’s done but It’s the what ifs that are haunting her. Denzel luckily is fine but she can’t get over the fact that she crashed the car and put him in that position.
"She’s worked herself up by replaying it over and over and everything is under a microscope at the moment. So when there’s a bang, someone shouts or a loud noise, she automatically thinks it’s about her.
"There’s signs around her everywhere to say that she’s going down. She knows that Howie and Denise love her and they want the best for her but I think she has a little voice in her head that is saying 'you could go down for this'."
Later on in the week, Denise's daughter Chelsea is distracted as she receives a letter from Gray as Whitney prepares to throw a moving in party.
Gray was finally arrested last year after his two-year reign of terror, during which he murdered wife Chantelle, Tina Carter - who threatened to reveal the truth about Chantelle - and Kush Kazemi.
He attempted to strangle girlfriend Chelsea in March 2022 after discovering she was secretly recording his murder confession, but she managed to get away as the police arrived.
What does Gray's letter to Chantelle say?
