As the BBC prepares for a busy summer of sport they have adjusted how viewers can watch one of their most popular shows EastEnders. The flagship BBC soap will be made available to viewers early before it is aired on BBC One, this summer.
Like in 2021 to allow for any scheduling clashes, where the soap may not be shown in its normal 7.30pm weekday slot, all weekly episodes will be uploaded to BBC iPlayer every Monday. Beginning on Monday, June, 27 all four weekly episodes will be uploaded to BBC iPlayer every Monday.
This means viewers can watch the episodes whenever they want to, which worked well last year when the BBC was showing the 2020 Euros. The weekly episodes will be uploaded every Monday until Monday, August, 15.

Chris Clenshaw, executive producer for EastEnders said: "With such a big summer of sport ahead, box setting all four episodes again this year feels like the perfect solution to enable EastEnders viewers to choose when and where they want to get their weekly fix from Albert Square. We have a big summer ahead so this is the perfect way to ensure that no one has to miss out." The BBC's schedule will be filled with live sport from Wimbledon to UEFA Women's Euros 2022 and EastEnders will air live on BBC One, but the timings may change from day-to-day due to the nature of live sport.
EastEnders is set to be full of drama this summer as Phil Mitchell makes a lethal enemy in prison, Ben struggles in the wake of his attack, and his behaviour is set to spiral out of control and a new family join the show as Mitch Baker's estranged brother, Avery, and his two sons, Finlay and Felix turn-up in the Square. There are many secrets set to explode and with hidden tensions bubbling away the soap promises to bring the drama this summer.
The soap has also enjoyed a Royal visit in 2022 as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall visited the set and starred in an episode.
