Samantha Womack has given an update after undergoing her first chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

The former EastEnders actress, who played Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap, first revealed her diagnosis back in August.

Her admission came as she paid tribute to Grease actress Olivia Newton-John following her death from the same disease.

Two months on, Womack, 49, has shared with fans how she is getting on.

Taking to Instagram, the Brighton-born star shared a picture with her boyfriend Oliver Farnworth as they gathered around the dining table in front of a giant pan of paella.

“This was a few days ago -after getting my appetite back following ‘Red Devil chemo,’” she wrote alongside the image.

“Oli made this on an open fire in Valencia.

“Struggling with migraines at the moment, but Xena the rescue dog by my side, keeping her Topaz eyes on me.”

Her celebrity friends were quick to send their well wishes in the comments section.

“Yes! Eat woman... Eat it all!” wrote Rita Simons who played Womack’s former on-screen sister Roxie Mitchell in EastEnders.

“Well, you won’t be going hungry anytime soon! Sending love and good health,” added presenter Kate Thornton.

Meanwhile former Spice Girl Emma Bunton said she was sending “love and hugs” to Womack, who responded with three red love heart emojis.
