EastEnders will see the return and exit of characters on the soap next week, as the residents of Walford continue to reckon with the fallout of Gray Atkins’ terrifying killing spree.

Stuart refuses cancer treatment after receiving devastating news

Stuart Highway refuses life-saving cancer treatment next week on the soap, after he has been adamant about using supplements over mainstream healthcare options.

Stuart has been battling breast cancer, but is set to receive awful news next week as his health deteriorates.

Callum is furious with Stuart, as he continues to prioritise the supplements over hospital treatment, but Stuart refuses to see the problem.

With Rainie stressed and upset, Callum sees a perfect way to get Stuart to go and see a doctor, begging him to seek out medical professionals.

However, the doctor reveals devastating news - Stuart's cancer has grown and he needs urgent treatment. But when they get home, he is still determined to maintain the holistic approach.

Isaac’s exit revealed after Stevie Basaula quits soap

Isaac takes centre stage next week on the soap, when he tells Kim Fox that his mother Sheree has had a heart attack and wants him to go to Trinidad to help her recover.

Kim remembers Sheree’s deceiving ways and warns Isaac this could be another lie, leaving him conflicted.

But when Kim later slips up and tells Lola and Patrick about Sheree, Isaac is forced to come clean and admit his decision has been made - he will leave Walford for Trinidad to look after his mother the following day.

Lola is furious that - despite their relationship - Isaac has kept this a secret from her.

However, while at The Vic, Lola calms down and explains her fears to Isaac that he may not come back.

Bernadette returns and goes into labour

Heavily pregnant teen Bernie heads back home after some time away from Walford.

Following her brother Keegan leaving with wife Tiffany, and the confirmation that their sister Chantelle was killed by her husband Gray, Bernadette comes back at a time where her family desperately needs her.

While Bernie still seems torn over giving the baby to Rainie and Stuart, she heads to see the couple and discusses the details with them, only to learn of Stuart’s frightening cancer diagnosis.

She rages at the couple for keeping her out of the loop, but her anger soon turns to shock when she goes into labour.

Chelsea receives worrying news about Gray

Gray hasn't quite finished causing havoc in Walford it seems, as news about him leaves Chelsea concerned next week.

The letter leadspal Whitney to suggest that Chelsea might need advice from solicitor Eve and she also offers to move in to help Chelsea. What does the letter reveal?
