EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy looks worlds away from Sonia Fowler at Attitude Awards

EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy looked worlds away from her character as she glammed up for the Attitude Awards.

She attended the annual event alongside a host of stars, including Ellie Goulding, Perrie Edwards, Myleene Klass and Kelly Holmes on Wednesday.

The actress, who has been Sonia Fowler on the long-running soap since 1993, applied a full face of glam makeup for the event at London's Roundhouse.

She looked gorgeous in black trousers and a black blazer which she wore over a stunning lace top.

The 39-year-old added a pop of colour with a mustard yellow purse and high heels (complete with bow) of the same colour.

She stood with one foot in front of the other as she showed off her pearly whites for the cameras.

EastEnders fans might be used to Natalie rocking a more casual outfit when she's on the BBC show.

Her character, Sonia, usually dons baggier and more comfortable outfits. Sonia is also usually fresh-faced in the series.

Natalie was still a schoolgirl at the time she uttered her first lines in Albert Square, so her fashion changed over time.

The soap actress's red carpet appearance comes after she recently confessed her weight-loss DVDs were a 'mistake' while opening up on the £100,000 payday.

She revealed she was offered a huge amount of cash to shed the weight in a short period of time.

Natalie released two weight-loss DVDs on the back of her results - Natalie Cassidy's Then and Now in 2007, before she released The Perfect Ten a number of years later.

Natalie confessed she put all the weight back on a short time after penning the deal.

Speaking on the Comfort Eating with Grace Dent podcast, the actress said: "I was very overweight and they approached me and said listen, we're going to give you £100,000, we're going to get you really fit and you're going to lose four stone.

"I was like happy days, let's go for it. I just thought, that's a lot of money; but it wasn't the right thing to do.

"It wasn't - you are losing a lot of weight in a three or four-month period, twelve or sixteen weeks, low calories and training every day.

"I got there, and as soon as that DVD came out, I ate for England. I put all the weight back on in eight weeks."
