EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy was mum-shamed for sharing a picture of her daughter being homeschooled during the teacher's strike.
The actress, 39, who plays Sonia Fowler on EastEnders, took to her Instagram page to share a sweet snap of her and her daughter Joanie sitting at the dining table.
They were surrounded by maths and spelling books as they smiled at the camera.
She shared the picture in support of school staff taking industrial action in a row over pay.
"Homeschooling this morning. Is it mad that I actually miss it a little bit?!?" she captioned the post.
"I have always loved learning with my kids at home, I have always bought lots of books to do if we have any available time.
"I’m not saying we do loads as they need to chill out and watch the telly - but I have always made it fun and I do believe it has helped with their learning."
Natalie continued: "So I shall enjoy this morning ( for about an hour until she gets something wrong and rips the book up- she’s a perfectionist) and support the teachers today."
Half a million workers – including school teachers – are on strike in what is the biggest day of industrial action in more than a decade today.
Teachers in England and Wales, who are members of the National Education Union (NEU), have embarked on their first day of strikes and have said they have "concern about the future of education."
One user was not impressed with Natalie's homeschooling post and complained about her not giving her daughter a day off.
"Let the poor thing have a day off learning and let her chill its only one day ffs," one user said.
Natalie answered back: "She wants to do it," while adding a smiley emoji.
Others praised her for supporting the strike, writing: "Love the fact she's in her uniform too, mine is still in his PJ's!"
"Thanks for the support. No-one goes into teaching wanting to strike. We love being in the classroom with the children. Education needs proper funding," another added.
One user said: "Fair play to you, I'm glad someone is supporting the teachers x"
"Thank you for supporting the teachers," another commented.
