EastEnders star Melissa Suffield has revealed to fans that she had to rush to hospital after suffering an injury at home.
The former actress, 29, shared her ordeal as she posted on her Instagram story on Sunday, telling fans she had "busted" her ankle.
Melissa posted a photo of herself looking fed up as she wrote on top: "So we tidied the garden, filled and covered the pool, dealt with the weeds, all ready so we don't have to do anything tomorrow.
"I put the indoor rug outside to cover the hot decking and also expose the stone floor inside to help regulate the temperature in here.
"And then I stepped into the kitchen and slipped on one of River's toys and have BUSTED my ankle."
However, Melissa explained there would be difficulty in her seeking treatment as she said: "No taxis available at all, and also no X-ray unit on the weekends at the tiny urgent care centre nearby (and I suspect I may need one as it's very difficult to bear weight on it and it's a bit bruised and quite numb).
"So I'm no very excited to spend the heatwave in a minor injuries unit on a Monday morning if it's not better now."
The following day mum of one Melissa revealed she had in fact had to take herself to hospital as she posted a photo of herself in the back of a car.
In the image the former Lucy Beale actress wore a pair of oversized sunglasses and a floral face covering over her nose and mouth.
In the update, she told fans by writing: "On my way to the hospital, hopefully I'll be one of the first ones in and I can get back home before it gets too hot.
"Also hopefully, it's not anything too serious. I'm able to to ebar a small amount of weight on it this morning but it's very painful and I can't move my foot in a couple of directions. So best to check it out. But while we wait..."
Melissa then posted a video of herself shimmying in underwear to show her followers that "all bodies wobble".
Later, Melissa updated fans as she posted a picture of a form ahead of her getting an X-ray.
After getting her ankle examined, Lucy updated her followers in another Instagram story post.
She shared a photo of herself smiling and wrote: "Thank f**k!
"No bone injury," she penned before telling fans the advice she was given. "So basically RICE, and keep it extra cool in this heat as it is MEGA swollen still.
"She said 'hopefully see some improvement and normal walking in 4 weeks' and I'm like, um, I had 12 days until I'm solo again.
"So healing thoughts please," she asked her followers before adding: "Also for all their uselessness on a weekend, I was checked in, seen by minor injuries, xrayed, seen by minor injuries again, and discharged in under and hour. Excellent work all round."
Melissa ended the post with: "Time to get into the paddling pool and keep that ankle cool!"
The actress then shared a photo of her ankle to show how swollen it was. She joked in writing on top of the image: "Please enjoy my prickly leg and my very swollen ankle."
