EastEnders star Jessie Wallace has slammed eco mob "a******s" for deflating her Range Rover tyres – telling her to walk instead.
Campaigning group ‘The Tyre Extinguishers’ called the Kat Slater actor's expensive car “pure vanity” and said the 4x4 was “unnecessary”.
They told the 50-year-old soap star to not take the brazen action personally and that “it’s not you, it’s your car”.
Jessie, who was recently arrested for attacking a police officer after a night out in Suffolk, has slammed the group on social media.
Taking to Instagram, she said: “These a*******s should be locked up for the chaos they are causing.”
She shared a snap of a notice that was seemingly left on the windscreen of her black Range Rover Evoque after her tyres were deflated.
“Attention, your gas guzzler kills,” the letter reads. “We have deflated one or more of your tyres. You’ll be angry, but don’t take it personally. It’s not you, it’s your car.”
The group say they often deflate 4x4 car tyres being driven in urban areas due to the “huge consequences” the “massive vehicle” has on the environment.
“Car companies try to convince us we need massive cars,” the letter adds. “But SUVs and 4x4s are a disaster for our climate.
“SUVs are the second-largest cause of the global rise in carbon dioxide emissions over the past decade – more than the entire aviation industry.”
They say their “emergency action” will help reduce emissions and save the planet – even if the 4x4 is a hybrid or fully electric.
"We’re taking actions into our hands because our government and politicians will not,” they say.
“Even if you don’t care about the impacts on people far away from you, there’s also consequences for your neighbours.
“SUVs cause more air pollution than smaller cars. SUVs are more likely to kill people than normal cars in collisions.
“Psychological studies show SUV drivers are more likely to take risks on the road. SUVs are unnecessary, and pure vanity.”
After insulting Jessie’s choice of car, the group then had the cheek to tell her to quite literally get on her bike.
“That’s why we have taken this action. You will have no difficulty getting around without your gas guzzle, with walking, cycling and public transport,” they added.
“Driving a hybrid or electric? These are still polluting, dangerous and cause congestion.”
Jessie was only recently lucky not to be sacked by BBC bosses after she drunkenly attacked a police officer in Bury St Edmunds in June.
Discussing the incident, a spokesperson for the broadcaster said: "Senior bosses have spoken to Jessie Wallace about the incident and issued a clear warning that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. Jessie has expressed her deep regret."
It's not the first time Jessie has been involved in a brush with the law.
In 2003 - three years into her Eastenders career - she was pulled over in her Mercedes in Chelmsford, Essex and found to be one and a half times over the drink drive limit.
