EastEnders revealed to viewers that one male resident will be killed on Christmas Day in a special flashback and some fans have spotted a huge clue over the identity of the mystery murder victim.
Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) attempted to kill Eve Unwin ( Heather Peace ) in Monday's episode after becoming increasingly enraged by his mother's affair.
The Panesars gathered in The Vic for Father's Day as Suki Panesar ( Balvinder Sopal ) tried her best to play the role of perfect wife to Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
However, when she went to the toilet, Eve followed and urged her to stop living a lie.
Vinny was left furious as he watched this unfold and lashed out at his mother before threatening Eve.
The disgraced lawyer was unmoved by Vinny's threats but this enraged him further, leading him to head to Taylor's Autos where he tampered with the brakes on the car Eve was scheduled to drive shortly.
Vinny's recent behaviour has led many EastEnders fans to suspect he will get his comeuppance during the festive period.
One viewer questioned: "So it’s vinny at Christmas then? #Eastenders," while another tweeted: "I really wanted it to be Nish to die at Christmas but now I hope it's Vinny #EastEnders."
"I reckon it’s Vinny who’ll be a gonner at Christmas. He wears cufflinks and suits often. #Eastenders," another remarked and a fourth shared: "Slowly hoping it’s vinny on the floor of the vic on Christmas Day. How he sticks up for his abusive dad who undermines his views and opinions. #EastEnders."
Another fan previously said: "Great scenes between @BalvinderSopal and @jalotashiv (Suki and Vinny Panesar) in today's #EastEnders - I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this feels like a massive turning point for Vinny (and I just hope he makes it into 2024, given what Christmas 2023 promises)."
A flashforward clip in February revealed a mystery male character dies at The Queen Vic this Christmas, with six female suspects including Suki stood around the dead body.
In the clip, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is standing over a dead body while wearing a wedding dress as Suki, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey Slater (Letitia Dean), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) look on in horror.
