EastEnders fans didn't know what to talk about first as they were left stunned by Cindy Beale's return. Michelle Collins has reprised the role of the iconic character, almost 25 years after Cindy was said to have died off-screen while in prison whilst giving birth.
Many fans of the BBC One soap knew Cindy was heading for a comeback alongside Ian Beale, played by Adam Woodyatt, after the big surprise was spoiled. But during Wednesday night's highly-anticipated episode of EastEnders, fans were still left 'screaming' over the major twist as it unfolded on-screen.
During the latest episode, newcomer George Knight, who recently arrived in Walford with his daughters after partner Elaine Peacock returned to help her daughter Linda Carter run The Queen Vic following her husband Mick's presumed death at Christmas, was seen being confronted by Phil Mitchell.

He had been doing some digging into George's ex-wife after Linda raised her suspicions. And while they didn't figure out exactly who she was, only discovering a 'Rose Knight' doesn't appear to exist, George was seen calling Rose on a whim.
Then, as the final scene of the mid-week trip to the Square aired, a woman’s hand grabbed her phone, showing George as the caller ID. Sat beside a swimming pool sipping on wine, it was then that Cindy's face was finally revealed before the iconic 'duff duff' signalled the closing credits.
And as fans flocked to social media to great to the twist, some were more focussed on Ian's son Bobby Beale and his relationship to Cindy as he has recently been seen getting close to Anna Knight, who we now know is Cindy's daughter. It comes as viewers also predict fireworks between the pair as it is common knowledge that Bobby killed his hafl-sister Lucy, another of Cindy's children.
Trying to figure out Bobby and Cindy's relationship, @a6rice tweeted: "So Bobby isn’t Cindy’s is he. Wasn’t his Mum Laura? I can’t quite remember. #Eastenders." @EmmaM_PR asked: "So just to confirm …. Bobby and Anna are brother and sister? #EastEnders," to which @MissyHarvey replied: "No. Cindy isn't Bobby's mother."
Referring to what could be ahead in the soap, @MissCarineyB tweeted: "We all knew it was Cindy Beale… but I can’t wait for the fireworks from Kathy, Sharon and what does this mean for Bobby? Will Cindy want revenge for Lucy? Is Lucy’s death the reason she abandoned her new family! #EastEnders."
@tinyconroy28 said: "I wonder if cindy even knows about lucy’s death? surley this must call for a peter return too, especially with bobby getting back in contact with him #EastEnders @Call_myles4 added: "Bobby is gonna be such a interesting character now just from this cindy twist. i’m so excited for the confrontation between cindy and him about him killing her daughter. also if he dates anna, she’s lucy’s sister. that’s gonna cause some big trauma when he finds out #EastEnders."
